Landscaping

Garden design, lawn care and maintenance — plus the grading, soil and drainage work that decides whether any of it survives.

Overview

Good landscaping is half design and half dirt. We handle both — the planting plan and the grading, soil and drainage that make it last past the first season.

Whether it's a new build with nothing but subsoil or an established property that needs rethinking, we start by fixing how water moves across the site, then build the planting and lawn on top of it.

What we do

  • Garden and planting design
  • Grading and yard levelling
  • Drainage correction and swales
  • Topsoil and soil amendment
  • Sod and seeding
  • Tree, shrub and perennial planting
  • Mulch and decorative stone beds
  • Garden edging
  • Lawn care programs
  • Seasonal clean-ups
  • Property maintenance
  • New-build yard finishing

Design first

A layout drawn to your property and how you use it — sun, sightlines, privacy, kids, dogs — rather than a template dropped on top of it.

Grade and drainage

Positive fall away from foundations, swales where water needs a path, and beds built up rather than dug into the low spot.

Plant selection

Species chosen for Ontario zones and the microclimate of your yard — the plant that survives is worth more than the plant that looks best on the truck.

Ongoing care

Maintenance programs for the properties that want them, so the work keeps looking the way it did on handover day.

Process

How a jobactually runs.

  1. 01

    Site visit

We walk the property with you — grades, drainage, access, what you actually use the space for. No guesswork from a satellite photo.

  2. 02

    Design & quote

A layout, material selections and a transparent line-by-line price. You see what you're paying for before anything is ordered.

  3. 03

    Build

Base prep done properly, materials from suppliers we trust, and a crew that cleans up at the end of every day.

  4. 04

    Walkthrough

We go over the finished work together, cover maintenance, and stand behind what we built.

Questions

Straight answers.

When is the best time to plant?

Spring and early fall are ideal in Southwestern Ontario. Summer planting works with proper watering; we'll set expectations before we put anything in the ground.

Can you fix a yard that floods?

Usually. Most yard flooding is a grading problem, sometimes a downspout problem, occasionally a subsurface one. We diagnose before we quote.

Do you do maintenance, or just installs?

Both. Plenty of clients start with an install and keep us on for lawn care and seasonal clean-ups.

Sod or seed?

Sod for instant results and slopes that would wash out; seed where budget matters more than timing and the area is protected. We'll recommend based on the site.
