Overview
Interlock lives or dies on what's underneath it. Pavers set on a thin base look identical on day one and tell you the truth three winters later.
We excavate to the depth the application calls for, compact granular in lifts, screed bedding sand to a consistent depth, cut pieces properly at the edges, and lock the whole field in with edge restraint and polymeric sand.

Engineered block systems with proper backfill, drainage stone and geogrid where the height calls for it — not blocks stacked against dirt.
Edges and cuts
Clean saw cuts, full-size pavers kept where they're visible, and edge restraint so the field never creeps.
Jointing
Polymeric sand swept and set properly, which keeps weeds and ants out of the joints for years rather than months.

How long does an interlock patio last?
Properly based, decades — and unlike poured concrete it can be lifted and re-set if something ever settles.
Interlock or concrete?
Interlock for repairability, pattern and a frost-tolerant surface. Concrete for a seamless slab and typically a lower cost per square foot. We'll walk through both for your site.
Do you need a permit for a retaining wall?
Many municipalities require one past a certain height, and engineering above that. We'll tell you what your municipality needs before we start.
Can you repair a sunken section?
Yes — lifting, re-basing and re-setting an area is routine, and far cheaper than replacing the whole field.
